Hello Everyone! It’s starting to look and feel like winter out there! Dean, Anthony, and Cliff have been out with our one cranky snowmobile and Anthony’s 4 track, packing the Moose Highway. Cliff dug out our very old grading bar to pull behind the Yamaha and the Moose is skiable if you don’t mind jumping rocks and sticks! So get those boards waxed. The season is about to begin!

For the time being, we’re saying use the front parking lot if you decide to try it, as we don’t want to open the main gate just yet. We won’t be pass checking either. The lodge is always open.

Cathy thanks everyone for their patience while she has been dealing with the Zone4 “upgrade” glitches. Many thanks to LeeAnn Cote for helping out with the onerous data entry now required. She’s about ready to start mailing out passes now.

We had a very enjoyable AGM and all the main executive positions have been filled. We’d love to have more members-at-large join us. It’s a great way to get involved in the Club with no major responsibilities – helping out where help’s needed and getting to know the jobs that need doing and getting comfortable in helping to organize them. Call Dan or Cathy if you’re interested.

The Executive meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month and any Club member is welcome to drop in and participate if the spirit moves you. Cathy’s kids make great cookies too!

Snow-Kitti (new grooming machine) fund raising is almost there! We need another $6000 approximately, and we’re feeling confident that if donations continue to come in as they are, we’ll get there. So don’t stop hitting up anyone you think might like their name on the donation board! Friends, relatives, businesses—ask them all! Use Dan’s flyer that he sent out. It’s having a good effect at numerous businesses so let’s keep it going!

And a huge thank you to those members who have contributed so generously this far. It’s been a long, hard haul and it’s going to be worth it when we have a reliable grooming machine that will do a nice job on our trails.

For those of you who are looking for new skis, All Season’s Source for Sports in Terrace is having their big annual sale this weekend. And on Dec. 4 - 6, McBike & Sport (Smithers) will be in Terrace at the Keith Ave. Mall. You can view the poster here. If there’s something that you particularly want, you can call before then and Pete will bring it for you.

Think snow, everyone!
