Hi Everyone! Just a quick update to remind you that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 7 pm in the lodge at Onion Lake. Kids are welcome and 2 free day passes will be given to all adults who attend. Luscious deserts will be served....and if you have a chance to bring some goodies to add to the array, please do!

And we’d really like a good turn out—come find out what's happening with the trails, the rental shed, the Rabbits program and athletics in general, the grooming machines, raffle updates, etc.

Snow is on the mountains and getting lower almost daily so it’s time to get the skis out and scrape off the summer wax that you carefully applied last spring. Speaking of which: A small work party turned into a fairly major one on Saturday. The rental equipment all got moved back into the shed in preparation for Jack Rabbits. Many thanks to Duncan and Colette Stewart and their 2 boys Calum and Wade for scraping wax off skis and helping to sort boots. Thanks to Julie Stevens for organizing us all in the rental shed and Liz and the whole Vandenberg clan for pitching in. And especially to Cathy who knew we’d need lunch and provided large amounts of delicious soup and naan!

While that was going on, Jim Thorne, Gianna Vandenberg, and Seth and Ben Carter went out to the Moose Hut and filled the wood shed out there so that’s taken care of.

And while that was going on Bill and Dean gave the snow mobiles their fall tune up and got them running smoothly so they’re all set to go when the snow flies.

And while all that was going on, Travis and Adrienne were doing the timing for the Cross Country Running race hosted by Terrace, for teams from Prince Rupert and Smithers. This is a way we can support the community that supports us.

There is some unexpected action on the Moose Highway! Stand by for a full report at the AGM!

See you all on the 28th!
