Comments: Long Moose and Kitlope are now groomed, also freshened up the Dog and Troll for the weekend crowd. Snow conditions are excellent but there is some soft spots on the edges of the traditional tracks but skate skiing should be fantastic... As a point of interest all skiers ticket checked today had their passes except for one brand new to xcountry and our Trails and didn't know the routine and purchased/stamped his ticket when shown how....temp about 1 degrees and no wind or rain....

Hi everyone.  As the snow creeps down the slopes of the surrounding mountains, and we wake up to flecks of white stuff in the air....

First, an update about hoodies and touques.  The head coach of the cross country ski club in Smithers, Lisa Perry, has organized the availability of hoodies and hats, with a "ski north" logo.  This logo was designed by Ben Carter from Terrace, with some friends, at the dryland camp in Smithers this fall.  (See poster here.)  Snow Valley Club members can now purchase hoodies with "Snow Valley Nordic Ski Club" embroidered on the front.  The hoodies come in a wide range of colors for both adults and youth.  Online shop is here.
The Snow Valley hoodies are at the bottom of the page.  Deadline for ordering is Nov. 15, and the order should be brought back with the crew returning from Snow Camp on Dec. 2.

And the second thing is....
memberships!  We're doing well, with over 130 members signed up now.  There is a draw on Nov. 15 for all those who've signed in:  one prize is a free membership for next season, and the other prize is a handwoven blanket/throw.  December 1st is the last day for early bird memberships;  after that, the rates will increase.  Our second draw (again a free membership, and gift certificates from Skeena Valley Therapeutic Massage and 4 Hands Body Renewal) will be on Dec. 2.  The print-friendly registration form is here, or here's the link if you want to purchase memberships online.

I will start sending out ski passes later this month, in the mail.  Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me or anyone else from the executive.

As the logo says, "going the distance!"
