Recommended Wax:
Comments: Long Moose and Kitlope are now groomed, also freshened up the Dog and Troll for the weekend crowd. Snow conditions are excellent but there is some soft spots on the edges of the traditional tracks but skate skiing should be fantastic... As a point of interest all skiers ticket checked today had their passes except for one brand new to xcountry and our Trails and didn't know the routine and purchased/stamped his ticket when shown how....temp about 1 degrees and no wind or rain....

March 3 was an epic day:  clear sunny skies, fresh grooming, and hot soup!

--Darryl at Sherwood Mountain Brewery, for spearheading this event, and for the promotions, advertising, selling tickets, and organizing restaurants from Terrace and Kitimat to donate soup, and for providing such awesome draw prizes

--Rob (Geier Waste Services) and Bob (Source for Sports), for the grand prize of a ski package, won by a skier visiting from Burns Lake!

--Restaurants who donated delicious soup:  Thornhill Pub, Mumford's, Northern Dhaba, Rosario's, Donna's Kitchen, Norm's Bistro, PF Bistro, Rosswood General Store, and Sherwood Mountain

--J&F Distributors, for the wiener roast supplies

--Brian at Canadian Tire, who gave us a really good deal on the playing cards for the poker ski

--Bruce at Wild Bike, Ginny at All Star Shoes, and Yoon at Cafenara, who all donated draw prizes for the event

--Brutus at Kalum Tire and Bruce at Wild Bike for the use of their tents

--volunteers at the soup stations and registration table:  Geoff, Ben, Cat, Andrea, Reanna, Renna, Amy, Gianna, Dean, Doug, Cheryl, Joe, Nate, Rob, Brenda, Tim & his kids, Amanda, Val, Ian, Jason, and LeeAnn

--the intrepid kitchen workers who never gave up until the very end:  Sandra and Liz

--the set up and take down crew:  Dean, Doug, Gabe, Yohannes, Blaise, Abel, Jim, and Geoff

All of the above businesses and people made the event happen!  And thanks also to those who came out and supported this fundraiser.  We raised $1300 for the new rental shed, in ticket sales and extra donations!!
