This is from one of the groomers (March 25): "I went out with the skidoo and there is still enough snow on the moose (there are a few bald spots) The snow is pretty dirty though and I don't expect it will last too much longer." |

Both the Beaver and the "Little Moose" have enough snow coverage to continue spring skiing. The snow is soft, and the trails get icy only if the temperature drops below freezing. Watch for some rocks and twigs, but it is easy to navigate around. |

Use discretion on the trails. When the temperature is above zero, the trails are soft. When it's freezing outside, the trails are icy. No recent grooming, because of the soft snow conditions. We need more snow to extend the season! |

With the milder temps these days, the snow on top is soft and forgiving, great for skate skiing, probably good for classic as well, though there has been no recent track-setting. We were out last night, there was only a light drizzle compared to the heavy rain we had in Terrace. |

We enjoyed some excellent skiing tonight on the dog and the beaver. Check on grooming on this site before going out. Be prepared for chanageable conditions. |

Snow/skiing conditions out at the cross-country ski trails are best in mid-afternoon (1-4pm) when the snow is soft. Otherwise quite icy. (Night skiing would not be good for beginners.) |

There is spring like skiing and lots of great company at the ski trails. Come and check it out one evening this week. Keep doing the snow dance for some fresh powder so there is more to groom. |
