Congratulations to all 89 skiers who registered for the Moose Marathon on Saturday!  The sun was shining, the trails were in beautiful shape (thanks to the groomers who were packing and setting trails in the wee hours of the morning), the soups were delicious--it was an epic event.  McBike & Sport in Smithers provided a bunch of draw prizes--thank you to Peter for that bonus parcel!

The results for this year's Moose Marathon are here and here.  See you all next year!!

Hello there folks.  Hope you have been getting out there to burn some calories and generate some heat in these cool but super sunny conditions. Looking ahead in two weekends from now is the Moose Marathon :)  So looking to round up some volunteers for this mellow fun race.  If you think you would like to help out drop Travis a note (email here).   Some jobs could happen before race start and you could still head out to do your own distance as well.
Registration will open up around 9:30 like usual.  30 K’ers have to head out around 10 am.  The rest of the crowd will start out at 11. We should be all wrapped up by about 1 pm again.  This is a free technique type race, so classic or skate style permitted…what ever you like.
Race distances will be 1.5, 5, 10, 15 or 30 K.  Push yourself or ski it with your friends.  Let me know how far you plan to ski to get you on the registration list.  All rabbits kids get registered automatically, you just have to tell me how far your child wants to ski.  Again mail me at the link above.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Travis
