Happy New Year everyone! My wish for you is that everyone had a good Christmas and that 2017 provides at least a few of the things you’re hoping it does! One of my hopes certainly came true. We’ve had the best ski conditions since Christmas that I can remember! Thanks to the groomers for giving us awesome trails to ski on!
If you are female, and if you would like to improve your skiing skills (or learn new skills and techniques), please join us on January 29th for our one-day ski clinic! For women of all ages and all skiing abilities, the ski fest will boost your skiing skills and enthusiasm for this great winter sport. We meet in the lodge at 9:00 for coffee and warm up exercises, and will be on the snow by 9:30. Questions: call Cathy at 635-7397. Registration form is here. And is you want to put a poster up in your workplace or gym, you can download it here.
Hey, JackRabbits parents:
Those of you who've registered your kids in the JackRabbits program for 2017 and have your gear for the season, you can disregard this notice.
The rest of you--especially those who need to rent gear, take notice that we will be holding a mini-rental day on Dec. 29th 1-4 for JackRabbits families. $75 for a set (skis, boots, poles) for the season. We CAN NOT get all of you set up on the morning of the first lesson, so please try to attend this rental opportunity!
There are already more than 50 registrants for JackRabbits; if you haven't registered yet, please register ASAP, as the coaches will have a cut-off number which we are quickly approaching.
Our Ski Trails are open for the Season!
Tony on the Bearcat----grooming has commenced! We still need snow, though, before Christmas would be nice!
Hi, skiers of Onion Lake!
We've just done the draw for the three prizes for all early-bird members.
With regrets Mcbike and Sport will not be able to make it to Terrace this year to do our annual cross country ski sale. (The "read more" has more details and an attached coupon!)
It’s snowing at the trails everybody! Ski season has arrived! Yes indeed, the executive arrived at the lodge for our monthly meeting on Tuesday and found several inches on the ground and more falling periodically. We need 2 ft. on the ground before we can groom but meanwhile we can ski with rock skis and no grooming if we like. The gate will remain closed until we do start grooming so use the front parking lot. At that time we will also begin checking for passes, (season and day use) so make sure you’re wearing it. The paid seasons passes will be in the mail next week.
