Wow! What a season this has been. From financial disaster before there was even snow on the ground to 2 new buildings and a major competition at the end of the season!
Adult ski lessons Winter 2009/2010
Wanting to learn the essentials of cross-country skiing? Maybe improve on skills learned years ago? Perhaps skate skiing is the kind of cross-country skiing you'd like to learn? Check out our adult lessons for this winter here.
Snow Valley Marathon
The Snow Valley Marathon will take place on Saturday, February 27th, 2010, at the Onion Lake Cross-Country Ski Trails. Distances are 1km, 5km, 10km, 15km, and 30km.
Registration is $5 per participant, which includes a coupon for soup and a bun. (Registered Bunnies and Jackrabbits are free!)
Start time for the 30km event is 10am, with registration until 9:30am. Start time for all other distances is 11am, with registration until 10:30am.
All participants, whether big or small, will receive a chocolate bar!
We're also looking for a couple of volunteers to do small jobs for this event. If you're interested, contact the race organizers (send an email here).Toonie Sprints and Potluck: Saturday, February 13th
"Chocolate Toonie Sprint" for all ages starts at 4:00 p.m. (Bib pickup at 3:30.)
Preregister by Feb. 12th. Cost: $2 donation.

Potluck Supper at 6:00, followed by ribbon-cutting to officially open the extension on the lodge. This is a social event for all, even those who don't make it to the sprints!

following supper, Family & Friends Relay: find yourself a team, and we'll have some fun with a short relay course under the lights.
