Happy Winter everyone! Just read over last month’s newsletter and Holy Smoke! Have we had a lot of things happening!!!
The Snow-Kiti arrived, the snow arrived, the skiers arrived and the lodge and the rental shed went wild! Our membership was up to 328 as of Tuesday and sale of Day Pass packages is booming.
This is a full-day skiing event at Onion Lake Ski Trails for women of all ages and ski abilities.
Our annual open house is next Sunday January 3rd from 1-4pm. Free skiing for nonmemebers, ski rentals just $2. Tell your friends (see attached poster). The skiing is fantastic right now!
Please note, we need club membership to assist with this important event, We need meet and greeters, tour guides, ski instructors, helpers with the rental skis, kitchen help (bring baked goods, help serving baked goods, coffee, hot chocolate), parking lot attendants. We would like our volunteers to show up around noon. If you can help out e-mail me (Dan) or Cathy. Or just show up and offer to help.
The rental shed out at Onion Lake Ski Trails will be open during the holidays.
Hours: 1-4 p.m.
Days: Dec. 22 - Jan. 2, everyday! (Jan. 3 is our Open House)
Please, if someone can volunteer and help us with these days call or email Cathy ASAP.

Hello Everyone! It’s ski season!!
As I’m working on this newsletter it’s snowing hard in Kitimat and at the trails. Dean, Cliff and Jim have been working hard with the Yamaha, our (very old) smaller snow mobile, to pack, smooth and lay a classic track. This has been extremely time consuming and now it will all be covered in deep, white, snow. We hope. They will be out again asap but the Yamaha may not be able to handle snow that’s very deep. So it’s a very good thing that…...............Drum roll...........…
Any kids registered in the JackRabbit program can rent skis for the season from the ski club.
Saturday, Dec. 12, starting at 1:00 p.m. Bring the kids, so we can fit the gear properly!
$75 for each set of boots, skis, and poles. Cash or cheques only, please.
Registration forms for the JackRabbit program will be available if you haven't registered yet.
Hello Everyone! It’s starting to look and feel like winter out there! Dean, Anthony, and Cliff have been out with our one cranky snowmobile and Anthony’s 4 track, packing the Moose Highway. Cliff dug out our very old grading bar to pull behind the Yamaha and the Moose is skiable if you don’t mind jumping rocks and sticks! So get those boards waxed. The season is about to begin!
